Everyone has heard or read about it sometime! Dog sled experiences, who doesn´t want to try this at least once in a lifetime? If you are visiting Jokkmokk then you don´t want to miss out on a dog sled experience.

When you come to the starting point, most of time you already hear the happy dogs, waiting impatient to go out and have a ball of a time. Do not forget, the dogs are used to work, so running is just fun for them. And that happiness and fun and work ethic is the perfect match to meet the dogs, their guide and go on tour.

Close to Jokkmokk you can take part in a 3 hours experience.  (This is including getting dressed, instructions and coffee break). When you arrive at the location, the guide will hand out a warm jacket and warm boots. Please bring mittens, caps, hats, even though is sometimes might not seem so cold outside, you get cold sitting on the sled. After you are dressed warm enough, you soon will meet the dogs. The guide will explain to you how to sit on the sled, and if the dogs are harnessed, they are eager to take you on tour.

Enjoy the ride, while you sit on the sled and your guide is mushing the dogs. The snowy white landscape, the sense of a cold breeze on your face, the smell of winter. The fresh boiled coffee, prepared over an open fire. Grilling sausages and listen to the guide sharing his stories about living just above the Arctic Circle.
