Join our Arctic Light, Elky & Alaskan husky tour.
A perfect combination of our tour "Search for the Sarek Moose", following with a beautiful relaxed tour in the middle of an old growth forest Nature Reserve by dogsled.
After your early breakfast, you will be picked up by car at your accommodation in Jokkmokk. During the early morning we see the sunrise and enjoy the most impressive Arctic Colours.
We stop along the way to camera hunt for the Sarek Moose. The moose in Sarek National Park are among the biggest in Sweden. They have their summer grazing in the fertile valleys protected by the National Park. In the fall and early winter, some of them migrate down from the mountains. While these wild animals are moving around we hope they come close enough to make good pictures and have a good look at them. Impressive animals, big as a horse and yet so fragile.
While we enjoy the tour by car, we slowly drive towards one of Jokkmokk finest and beautiful area´s; The Kvikkjokk-Kabla Nature Reserve. The guide is expecting us already with a bunch of happy dogs, waiting for you to get prepared for the tour to start!
The guide will steer his dogs while you are sitting on the sled. The tour goes through the Kvikkjokk-Kabla Nature Reserve. A beautiful mountain area, which is from here on roadless country. This area is accessible only on foot or by boot during summer. During the winter only by snowmobile or dogsled. The area contains both pine virgin forests and spruce virgin forests, vast marshes, birch forests, and bare mountain.
During a break on a lovely spot, by a crackling fire, a warm cup of coffee and warm snacks, the guide will share his experience and lifestyle with you.
After the break you will return to the kennel, where you have one last chance to cuttle the dogs before we drive back to Jokkmokk.
Note;Â
This tour can be booked at the latest 2 days in advance.

Since this tour is also outdoors, you need to dress warm for really cold days. Long-Johns, mittens, hat, warm boots, warm jackets and if possible wool as first layer. See also our tips how to prepare for Lapland.
During the dogsled tour you can borrow warm boots and a warm overall.
This private tour is suitable for children from age 13.
No, you can not bring your dear doggy-friend on this tour.
You can use all types of camera´s, remember to bring an extra battery as well.
If you only bring a mobile phone, with camera option, please keep in mind that metal covers get really cold and the battery level will reduce real fast.
It is better to have a leather or plastic cover on your phone.
Pauline Steudten– :
We booked this daytrip with Olga and had the most fantastic time here in Lapland. We got picked up early and drove through beautiful scenery during the sunrise, saw couple moose and also reindeer. At the husky farm we got warm overalls and shoes, helped preparing the sledge and harnessed the dogs together with the guide. The tour itself was beautiful and we had a lovely break at a camp fire together. On our drive back, Olga gave us many tips and insights into the life up here in Lapland. We really recommend booking a trip with her!
Olga Stam– :
Hej Pauline & Jessica.
Many thanks for your review. You had a very cold but beautiful day. Sunny, great views, and a tour going through beautiful landscape.
I hope you did not freeze to much.
Looking forward to meet you again if you will visit Jokkmokk once more.
Stay safe! And thanks again for participating in this tour.
Warm regards,
Olga
