Join a private moose safari – max. 2 persons
No matter where you are or to whom you may speak in Lapland, moose are always the number one subject when people talk to each other. " I drove 2300 km and I did not see 1 moose" is something we hear every day! That is why a moose safari is a good option to spot them and see more from the beautiful region as well.
Follow us on a private tour where we take you towards the mountains to try and spot Sarek moose on our way. A beautiful road, with lots of stunning views. We will try to discover other wild animals as well. Hopefully we will see the snowy white grouse, siberian jay, foxes, mountain hare and reindeer and off course moose!
During the midwinter period you will be dazzled by the beautiful colors in the sky. The sun at its lowest point will give us pink, violet and blue skies. You decide when you want to make pictures as if you where driving yourself. Perfect tour for couples, seniors and those who do not wish to join groups.
Halfway we will take a small detour and have a nice lunch break.

This tour can be booked at the latest 2 days in advance before 12.00.

Good morning

Pick you up at your accommodation
After a short introduction, we will drive about 7 km before we will turn off and start the tour. From this moment on, I suggest you have you camera prepared and all eyes search for the King of the Forest.
Includes
- The use of binocular and tripod
- Tour by car. Coffee, tea or chocolate, sandwiches, cake
- Olga speaks English, German, Dutch and Swedish
Excludes
- Alcoholic beverage not included and not allowed
- Transfer from accommodation outside Jokkmokk is possible at request and against additional costs
Extra option
Additional tour to Kvikkjokk, 500 SEK per person extra
If you can´t get enough of this beautiful environment, we can extend this tour to the small mountain village Kvikkjokk.
To add that option you can book; tour to Kvikkjokk instead of the private Moose safari.
Even though we drive by car, we always must be prepared that the temperatures can drop quickly.
Also making pictures outside demands warms clothes, jackets and boots, hat, gloves or mittens.
Better too many clothes then too little.
Our private sightseeing tours are suitable for children from 13 years
This tour can be cancelled if the temperatures are minus 25 or colder.
If there is a lot of snowfall we also cancel the tour, since the views are almost none.

We joined the private moose safari on January 2023. The guide, Olga, was really nice and provided us with the best experience possible. It was a bad day in terms of chances to see the mooses, as there were a lot of trucks moving around reindeers on the road, so I guess mooses were more farther away from the road than usual. Then, even if the tour was supposed to last 5 hours, Olga extended it and took a detour, so that on our way back we finally managed to see a moose in a really good position! Highly recommended.

Yes, sometimes we can not plan how the tour will be, but luckily we had a good view at last!
