We welcome you for a day of adventure at the location where this event will start! The time schedule of this event is including getting dressed and prepare for start as well as getting instructions how to drive the snowmobile. The tour itself takes about 6 hours.
In Jokkmokk where the guides have there base, you will be introduced to the first part of the tour. The snowmobiles are waiting for you here. You will receive a warm jacket or overall, warm boots and off course a helmet! After a short introduction how to drive the snowmobile you will follow the guide on your snowmobile. (2 pax). When you have get used to steering the snowmobile, we increase the speed. Hopefully we see some animals along the trail, like moose, reindeer, grouse or fox for example. Ever dreamed of passing The Arctic Circle? Today you will do this twice!
When we arrive at the winter camp of the Länta family you will experience up close the beautiful reindeer herd. Feeding them and making close up photos will make this an unforgettable moment. But it is not over yet!
A lovely gathering in the lávvu, sitting on reindeer skin, listening to the crackling fire and storytelling. Enjoying a wilderness lunch which consists of souvas (smoked reindeermeat), lingonberry juice, gáhkko (Sámi bread), coffee, tea and some other Sámi taste bites (lighter lunch).
If there is time and if you wish, the possibility exists to try to throw the lasso as well.
After this gathering it is time to steer back to base on the snowmobiles. Probably it is already dark, which makes it new, but beautiful adventure. Sometimes the Northern Lights appear early, or pearl clouds which gives the tour a fairy tale atmosphere.
